One of the best Hot Pot place I have been in NYC area. Very clean well managed, professional and knowledgeable server. Lots of lots choices veg / meat options. Very clean and comfortable dining. This will be our regular hot pot place. I will tell everyone I know who loves hotpot to go here . You will not disappoint. Yummy
I attended a birthday party today at Lao Shen and we had fantastic hot pot. There's a large selection of soup bases and a huge number and very generous amount of additions. The star of this restaurant is the staff/owner. They are friendly and accommodating.
Back after a few months for a weekday lunch. IMO Lao Shen is great for weekday lunch especially at only $25.88 per person and not many people. It's clean and the service staff is very friendly and attentive.
I looovvveee this place! Amazing AYCE hot pot deal in Flushing/Murray Hill area. The toppings are endless, and they aren't stingy with them! Sauce bar has tons of choices, and broths are spicy and flavorful. Service is super quick. I've never seen it super crowded, but it has tons of space. I love that I'm the only non local there!
Good food in reasonable servings for AYCE. I found the sauce bar nicely anointed with the proper confinements and also had some mini appetizers and desert options. Good work. Also the sauce bar has lids that can keep things covered which was a nice touch. Service team is attentive but not overbearing. Pricing was a little high but then it's AYCE and everything has gone up in price. $1.00 Budweisers is a win!!!
We like the new set up of this all you can eat buffet. It costs $36/person, which includes soft drinks and choice of ice cream. They now also offer beer, wine and sake. In the past you ordered all your items on a "fill-in" paper menu. Now you scan a QR code and order your choice of broth, the meats and drinks online. The other items are selected at the cafeteria style refrigerated service area - you get a tray and pick as many of the items you want. It was already prepped into individual portions and was well organized, fresh and clean. The restaurant is designed to look like an old Chinese village, although the huge modern light fixture seemed a bit out of place. The food was good and the staff were very attentive and friendly.
New clean and reasonable hotpot price. They have some spicy pots but you can opt for a pork/chicken broth, tomato or mushroom base. The ones we got were amazing and super delicious. The pork one is creamy and has toppings inside that make it such a good base for your hotpot. The options are unlimited with no restrictions, they have your standard meats plus shrimp paste, special beed option and other unique meats. The meat was fresh and good cuts. They have a good selection of veggies and other offerings. Really liked the service and excited to come back! I didnt like their dessert option tho, this hard cup ice cream, maybe theyll get a soft serve machine, that would be awesome!
